Weekend Recap

The weekend was crazy like always….Friday night the hubs and I went out to dinner together, did a little shopping/grocery shopping, and watched a movie…oh and we ran into Justin Bieber at the mall of course.

The next morning I got up early to clean up the house, make cake pops, and get everything together for a picnic we were hosting.
We were hoping to be poolside all day with our guests, but over night someone jumped one of the fences at our complex and threw all of the patio furniture in the pool :( (lame!) So we ended up cooking out and then we all headed out to do a little group shopping.

Andrew and I found some shelves we loved (very IKEA) and decided to re-do our bedroom--we spent the rest of Saturday and part of Sunday running all around civilization finding lamps, organizing bins, and decorative boxes (I am a little crazy about decorating and such a perfectionist so it took me a little longer then most) End result---we absolutely love the new things we purchased and it looks amazing and very modern (picture does not do this room justice, but I tried--side note: check out Bentley taking over already)

Sunday night we went to my parents for dinner and then went mini golfing…not to brag, but I came in FIRST!!! This never happens because usually I end up losing my ball about 30 times during the game so I was very happy.

 Happy Monday!!!

Girls Night!

So last night we had our first ever girls only game night…nothing like wine, laughing, friends, family, food, and crazy games.

It was a blast and we are all different ages so it is really cool for everyone to get together and act like teenagers. We even scheduled the next game night because we had so much fun. I am super a little sleepy today from all the excitement last night.

Here are some pictures to document the occasion.

The funniest part was at the end of the night we yelled Girls Rule! Boys Drool! So felt like we were in 3rd grade again….I think the wine was proving its purpose.

Almost Friday!

Out with the Old & In with the New!!!!

This weekend was nothing short of exhausting. We had a neighborhood yard sale in 105 degree weather and high humidity…talk about crazy.
Positive note: I sold all but, one of my designer purses and made a little over $400…I was a very happy girl! Now it is time to revamp my handbag selection :)

Here are a few pictures from our yard sale craziness...we melt in the heat so the pictures are def. not flattering.

Setting Up for opening.

Prepping for the big day....red balloons for everyone's mailbox

After the yard sale Andrew and I went to the outlets so that I could get sneakers from Under Armour (Best. Shoes. Ever) and of course I stopped by the Coach outlet. My husband was cracking me up and also so embarrassing.
He loves the bags from the Under Armour store (they are like a backpack) so he decided to put one on the front and one on the back and walk around the stores like this.
The boy just loves to embarrass me and when he knows he is doing it….he acts out even more. I was laughing so hard I could not even walk.

Here is a picture of my silly husband:

Here's to another week!

Christmas in July!

Crazy thing happened last night....I booked our department Christmas party!!!!
It seems too early to book a party for Christmas, but last year we had problems booking a place in August for Christmas…so I got a little head start. To my surprise the restaurant was able to accommodate my request because it will be during the week, but they are already booked for every weekend in November and December.

So today I had a meeting with my team and we decided to send out a Save the Date for the event and people really appreciated the early announcement…crazy to think in July we already have to plan Christmas! Can we just enjoy the summer?!? (well except today because it is literally 102 degrees outside and miserable…today a little snow would be great….ok maybe a snocone at least?)

Hmm thinking about Christmas…I do have some a lot of must haves....maybe Christmas is July isn’t such a bad idea….now to pitch this to my husband.

Workin It Out

I never ever thought I would say this but, I am loving liking working out…ok a little, but that is way more then what I would have said a year ago.

The past year I have been on this healthy kick and a road of new beginnings and I am feeling a 110% better.

I have always been overweight--even as a child. My sophomore year of college I was feeling really low about myself and started losing weight by working out 2 times a day, eating barely enough, and going out almost every night (talk about disaster). I was finally happy with my body, but there was no way of continuing this life style. Once I realized how bad this was for me I put every pound back on.

Last summer I decided that enough was enough and started dieting…I had dropped 20 pounds on my own and then my mom, sister, and I joined Weight Watchers for the added support and a true lifestyle change....I have lost 87 pounds at Weight Watchers so over a hundred all together and I feel so much better. I still have more to go, but I am so happy where I am now and the changes I have made for myself….once I hit my goal I will do a before and after post so you can see how far I have come since the beginning (believe me it is not pretty…but very motivating)

I have such an amazing support system…my husband has been awesome, I have my Weight Watchers crew, my mom and sister, and my girls from work who are also WW members and we work out together everyday at our corporate gym…it is so great to have so many people by your side or behind you pushing you to work harder.

Monday Monday

Really Monday…again?
Today was such a Monday too…I am not even joking.

So this morning lying in bed I was thinking about the concert we are going to see in August (btw we are seeing Train and Maroon 5 with a side of Gavin Degraw) and I just so happened to think ok so where did I put those tickets? So after getting all ready for work I started to look around and because I am a control freak/hyper organizer- I thought for sure I would look in my Paris box and they would be there…..(long pause)…..Not there!

So of course I start having a mini panic attack because I have everyone’s ticket…like what if I can’t find them? Will I have to buy all new tickets for everyone? Will Ticketmaster print new ones for me?
My amazing husband calmed me down and told me I need to get to work….so I left with this horrible pain in my stomach.

So I am like half way to work and realize…ugh! It’s Monday and I meet the girls at the gym after work so I turn around and pack my gym stuff and drive back to work…on top of this mess…I hit almost every red light and the highway was crazy busy so needless to say I should have stayed in bed and rewound my mind.

Oh a better note…I had a very productive weekend. We are having a yard sale this weekend and I went through all of my stuff and I have everything ready…plus my house is very over the top organized now (maybe this is how I lost the tickets)
25 purses, tons of clothes, shoes, jewelry, and home items (I am hoping to make enough money to buy my new Coach purse or 2)

It is suppose to be well over 100 degrees this weekend in PA with the real feel at about 110! Hot! Hot! Hot!

Ok Friday let’s go…a little faster now!

XOXO
